About
JOEL
Joel, otherwise known as Jo Walker, was born in 1955 and
grew up in the Welsh border country. A love of animals
and an interest in natural history led her to a degree
course at Exeter Universitry in Zoology and Ecology, and
resulted in an Honours degree. These sciences have increased
her awareness of animal form and behaviour, and the interaction
between form and environment.

own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and
He will direct your paths"
She is a born again Christian who did not know that she
could sculpt until she was told by God she had this nature
and gift from Him.
"When I next put hand to clay it was amazing, just like
coming home...the challenge is to go on to work well"

Examples
of Joel's work have been on exhibition in London, the Eastern
Counties, the North of England, and near her old home ground
of the Welsh Border. Her study of Sea-horses entitled "Treasure
from Darkness" was a runner up in a National Sculpture Competition.
Joel is responsible for the sculptures of the EQUUS Collection
for Tenon Gallery Sculpture, which contains outstanding
portraits and studies of the heads of various breeds and
types of horses.
