Virtu
Portrait of the Beautiful Dressage Horse - Cast in Pewter
This lovely sculpture is a detailed portrait of the head of a Dutch Warmblood called Virtu.
Virtu was ridden by Emile Faurie for Britain and achieved 4th in the World Equestrian Games.

Emile was involved in consultation in the making of this sculpture that celebrates dressage and we are grateful for his help.

Cast at the Midlands foundry and patinated in a warm Bronze colour
he is a popular trophy and gift.
The title may remind you of the famous painting of hunting country seen from horse back and this sculpture also celebrates the other Best of Views .... looking at the horse !
