Carriage Horse Sculpture Carriage Horse Sculpture
2006 and the Sculptress JOEL's second portrait head of a Carriage Horse. The horse is called Leo, and competes in the South of England and has given his owner many years of pleasure.

" I was asked by the Windsor Park Equestrian Club to do a portrait of another horse, as a trophy, a lovely animal , a Hackney called Toby.
This was a very special commemorative sculpture, with its own story.
As a result of that commission, I met Leo's owner at the Windsor Horse Show 2006, and we talked over the project to celebrate Carriage driving and Carriage Horses.....and so unfolded the making of Close Action" says JOEL
" the title echos the scale of the portrait head, capturing a close up of him in driving action...all that power and pull, ears forward, neck curved, head straight and true"

Called Close Action the Bronze sculpture makes a great trophy, gift or feature for your home or office.
